Sunny's Dream Once upon a time, long ago, a daisy named Sunny lived in the middle of a big green meadow. The meadow was home to many birds and animals and of course lots of daisies and other wildflowers. It was an exciting place to be and she loved it there. Sunny was like most daisies, except for one thing. She dreamed of flying! Every day her animal friends would come and tell her their wondrous tales of adventure. They would describe in exciting detail everyone they met and everything they saw when they ran through the tall grass or flew high over the meadow. Sunny loved to hear their stories. She would turn her bright yellow face to the sky, and her blue eyes would have a dreamy, faraway look in them. Some days she heard very little, as her mind would drift away on an imaginary journey of her own. Just once she wanted to have her own real adventure. Sunny had never told anyone about her dream. One day she felt brave and decided to tell her best friend, a sparrow named Rosalita. Unfortunately, some daisies overheard Sunny. They laughed so hard they could barely stand up. Big tears of laughter ran across their face and fell from the ends of their petals. Some even wrapped their long green leaves around their stems for support.
