We believe that as more of these educational resources become available, future generations of children will see Canadian literature with new eyes. They will develop a new love for literacy and seek more diligently to be part of the process. By doing so they will naturally be more attracted to higher quality literature and illustration, and less attracted to books based on commercial entertainment alone. |

With this new generation of passionate, well educated and qualified talent, perhaps, more and more Canadian publishers will find security in expanding their houses without needing to rely upon foreign commercial characters and merchandise. Our common goal in Canada, is to find ways to insure that our worldwide reputation for quality children's literature remains bright and strong for future generations. |
